VELOCITY CUBE |
|
The Velocity Cube was developed by interpreting the Velocity Survey Sample Locations into a 3-D volume. This volume uses an IDW algorithim to interpolate between Cube nodes which returns psudo-Velocity values.
|
VELOCITY SURVEYS |
|
Our digital Velocity Survey
data can be supplied in your choice of custom formats, or in industry
standard formats, for import into any workstation environment.
All data have been thoroughly keyed in, analyzed and quality
controlled by experienced geo-physicists. Regional velocity grids and models
have been generated using Karl Thompson & Associated “SEISBASE III
velocity modeling software. Our velocity “cubes” have been
extrapolated in the time/interval velocity domain using a local area
“trend analysis” and also using our extensive mud weight data for
accurate “top of pressure” picks assuring that the extrapolations
are as accurate as possible.
Custom velocity volumes can also be
constructed using your in-house stacking velocities and fault polygons, on a
regional or local project area basis.

DIRECTIONAL SURVEYS |
|
Our Directional Survey database includes 8,500 onshore wells. These Directional Surveys exist in an ASCII format, which contains original XY location, offset distance, MD, TVD, inclination, and XY location for each leg of survey.
|
DIGITAL WELL CURVES |
|
We compiled a comprehensive Digital Curve database containing more than 60,000 locations; including, onshore and offshore.
|
RASTER WELL LOGS |
|
We have logs on over 85,000
wells in the state of Louisiana. We also have added “headers” onto
these tiff images to show the API NUMBERS, WELL NAME AND LOCATION, information
as well as MAP COORDINATES (either lat/long or X/Y locations).
We are currently scanning logs for other areas as well as
adding missing wells in Louisiana.
|
MUD WEIGHT AND TEMPERATURE DATA |
|
We have combined our 12,100
well database of mud-weights and temperatures taken from deep South Louisiana
wells, with the 34,000 well offshore mud-weight database to construct a
“top of pressure” map for these areas (using the first occurrence
of 12.5# mud). Maps on constant depth temperature datum's have also been made
for South Louisiana.
We are also available to discuss any database construction
project you may have in mind. We have the manpower and experience to aid in any
new database project.
