Data license
These terms apply to every dataset you buy from us. Checking out means you accept them.

1. What you receive
Gulf Coast Velocity Data, Inc. ("GCVD") grants the purchasing company a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased data for its own internal exploration, evaluation and engineering work.
2. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, publish or otherwise distribute the data, in original or modified form, to anyone outside your company.
- Include the data in a product or database offered to third parties.
Consultants may use the data on behalf of the client named on the order; the license stays with that client.
3. Derived work
Interpretations, maps and models you create using the data are yours. Where they reproduce the data itself, the restrictions above still apply.
4. Accuracy
The data has been through our quality control, but it is historical data provided as-is. GCVD makes no warranty that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and is not liable for decisions made using it. Our liability is limited to the price paid for the affected data.
5. Refunds
Because data is delivered digitally, sales are final. If a file is corrupt or not what was described, contact us within 30 days and we will replace it or refund that item.
6. Packages
Regional, project and complete packages may be covered by a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms.
